With the sincere efforts, far-sighted vision and progressive mission of Sh. Bhagwant Mann - the worthy Chief Minister of Punjab; 'GURDASPUR INSTITUTE OF AUTOMOTIVE & DRIVING SKILLS, GURDASPUR', a Joint venture of Punjab Government and Red Cross Gurdaspur has been established by 'Gurdaspur Automotive & Driving Skills Society' with the aim to upgrade the skills of the youth, start various courses in driving, automotive and other related fields. i District Red Cross Society Gurdaspur under the visionary leadership of Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal IAS is doing yeoman's service for the needy and the downtrodden. District Red Cross Society is already working on many social welfare projects like Aabad Sanjeevani Medical Camps in Border Villages of this district, Medical Aid to poor and needy patients, providing free Wheel chairs and Tri-cycles to handicapped persons, running Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Clinic in village Bariar and also runnig a Jan Aushadi Store in civil hospital, Gurdaspur in which generic Medicines has given to the patients on very cheap rates as campared to market rates. Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal (IAS) Deputy Commissioner, Gurdaspur Red Cross has taken a new leap into another area of road safety. Gurdaspur Institute of Automotive and Skill driving Society was registered under societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860) and as amended by Punjab Government Act. 1957. Institute of Automotive and Driving Skills, Gurdaspur is going to be a milestone for the candidates.
